Live Board and troubleshooting
Mirror your phone to an iPad or TV, plus fixes for common problems.
Mirroring to a second screen
Live Board lets you drive the board from your iPhone while an iPad — or a TV via AirPlay — shows it to the team.
- Open Live Board on the iPad. It waits for a connection.
- On the iPhone, open Live Board and pick the waiting device.
- Coach from the phone. The iPad mirrors it.
The connection is direct, device to device, over Apple’s MultipeerConnectivity. There is no server and no account, so it works on a pitch with no signal — but both devices need Wi-Fi and Bluetooth switched on, and both need to grant local network permission when asked.
Troubleshooting
The other device doesn’t appear. Check Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on for both, and that both have granted local network access (Settings → TactiTurf → Local Network). Being on the same Wi-Fi network helps but isn’t strictly required.
Pro features are locked after reinstalling. Open Settings → Restore Purchases and sign in with the Apple Account you bought with.
A board won’t open. If a file is damaged, TactiTurf moves it to a quarantine folder rather than crashing, and the rest of your library keeps working. The board itself is unfortunately not recoverable.
Everything is gone after deleting the app. Boards, plays and teams live only on the device. Deleting the app deletes them. Turn on iCloud sync in Settings to keep a copy in your own iCloud account.
The board opens sideways. Orientation is remembered per board. Rotate and it saves again.
