Drawing and animation
Arrows, routes, freehand marks, and turning a static board into a play.
Drawing tools
Switch to the draw mode using the segmented control at the top of the board. You get:
- Pass, run and dribble arrows — each with its own line style, so a run reads differently from a pass at a glance.
- Freehand pen for anything the arrows don’t cover.
- Highlight zones for pressing traps and areas of responsibility.
- Eraser for single marks, and Wipe to clear everything at once.
Route mode
Route is the one to reach for when you’re explaining movement rather than passing. Turn it on, drag a player, and their path chalks itself behind them as they go. Let go and the route stays on the board.
This is usually faster than drawing an arrow and then moving the player to match it.
Animating a play
Switch to animate mode:
- Arrange the board as the starting position.
- Tap record to capture a keyframe.
- Move players to the next position and capture again.
- Repeat for each phase of the play.
TactiTurf interpolates between keyframes, so you get smooth motion from a handful of positions rather than having to animate every step.
Playback gives you a scrubbable timeline, adjustable speed, and optional ghost trails that leave a fading path behind each player — useful when you want the shape of the movement to stay visible after it happens.
Undo
Undo and redo are top-right and cover drawing, movement and keyframes.
