BasePlate Privacy Policy

BasePlate does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

The app has no accounts, no servers of ours, and no analytics. Everything below is detail on that.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, no advertising identifier and no tracking. BasePlate never asks you to sign in, because there is nothing to sign in to.

Our App Store privacy disclosure is Data Not Collected.

Where your data lives

Wedding days, timelines, shot lists, reference images, camera settings, gear lists and contacts are written as ordinary files inside the app’s own storage area on your iPhone. They stay there.

Contacts on a call sheet

A wedding day often includes other people’s names and phone numbers — the planner, the lead shooter, the venue coordinator. When you type or paste those into BasePlate, they are stored locally with the rest of that day and are never transmitted anywhere. The app does not read your device’s Contacts.

You are responsible for handling other people’s details appropriately, the same as you would with a printed call sheet.

Reference images

Photos you attach to a shot are copied into the app’s local storage. They are never uploaded. Photo library access, if you grant it, is used only to let you choose an image.

Apple Watch

The watch companion receives a slimmed-down copy of the day’s schedule directly from your iPhone through Apple’s WatchConnectivity. That transfer stays between your own two devices.

Notifications and Live Activities

Pre-beat alerts are local notifications scheduled on the device from your own timeline. There is no push server. Nothing about your schedule leaves the phone to make them work.

Location

BasePlate does not request or use your device location. Sunset and golden-hour times are calculated on-device from coordinates you enter for the venue.

Children

BasePlate is a professional tool not directed at children, and collects no data from anyone.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes all BasePlate data from the device. Because nothing is stored elsewhere, that is complete — and irreversible, so export or note anything you need first.
